I went to see my mom after work and ran to the grocery store for her. I wound up spending 45 minutes in Publix trying to find dog food for my mom's Jack Russell, Minnie. Several years ago I had to change cat food. My new cat, Monty, seemed to upchuck every time she ate the food I had always bought. I found a natural cat food with no artificial colors in a medium price range. It seems to be agreeable about 99% of the time. So... I did not realize that it would be so difficult and time consuming to find a dog food with no artificial ingredients in a price range that wouldn't break me. I wound up spending the same for Minnie's 15 pound bag as I do for the 50 pound bag for my big girls.
Nothing exciting or momentous planned for the evening. Came home to hold my labs' hands as they stress over the local yokel festivities. How could dogs as big as they are be such fraidy cats? They usually are waiting at my property line to escort me down the dirt road. Faith was unfaithful & hiding under the house but Doodle didn't let me down.
Today I wished all my customers a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
For my friends tonight, I want to add a wish for Blessed Year.
And for my family, I add a wish for Knowledge - to know who you are, whose you are, and all you can be.

Almost over
Winter is barely here but the shortest day has come and gone and spring is just around the corner. I've put aside my mystery books to curl up with seed and plant catalogs.
A new year brings new hopes and goals with a few resolutions for auld lang syne.
This was our last good snow which isn't saying much for Montevallo.
